Use: Imperial Bromeliads are used as spectacular accents in the landscape grown in partial to full sun.

Characteristics: Imperial Bromeliads are considered the signature species of the genus. Imperial Bromeliads may grow up to 4 feet in height, and 3 feet in width.

Trimming: No formal trimming is required. Remove expired leaves as they brown. The plant will die after flowering and will need replacement.

Fertilization: Imperial Bromeliads require relatively little fertilization.

If fertilization is desired use liquid orchid fertilizer in a half and half solution.
